it turns out if you forget to come back...or forget your password....they just give up on your account.

i tried to get my account back....it said to send a message to the board admin. there apparently are no board admin/page is disabled until you log in.

And the email address is tied to the account...so you try to set up a new one and you cannot.

i'm still at aaa. i'm still thirds. i still don't have a car... i'm in dispatch now so its a bit easier, but i get to call people and they're either super angry at me "i already waited an hour" or they're super relieved to find out a tow truck is on its way.

Were you driving a vehicle with an Amish transmission, so you would blend in inconspicuously?

Nice to hear from you again. Still living on the West side of the mitten?

stick shift turbodiesel jetta sounds like fun. wish they still had them here, but the TSI (turbo gasser) engines get decent MPGs and have similar torque and i think more power than the TDI engines.

It snot rocket sugary!

This vehicle was a breeze - both the drain plug and the filter had straight shots down to the drain pan. I've worked on some vehicles where the filter doesn't have an unimpeded vertical path down to the drain pan. The oil runs down a suspension crossmember and it's hard to know where it's going to drip out. Good to have a cookie sheet under the drain pan to extend my drip catching range for vehicles like that. (Sure, the next batch of cookies always tastes a bit strange, but it's a small price to pay for keeping the driveway clean, right?)

...by the time I got done, there was a big thawed-out spot in the snow on the driveway where I had been laying. Brought to mind the chalk circles police draw around a body to show where it was found.

I once changed the oil on an early 80s Chevy Citation and the filter drained into cross members or some place where it then slowly driped for days making me think there was some oil leak.

My Chevy S10 is beautiful., There is a plastic trough that catches the oil from the filter and runs it down to drain near the engine oil drain plug, so the pan catches both.
