They covered them up and widened the roads years ago. The trees that used to touch to form a canopy above the road are long-gone as well. You have to go a lot further away from Detroit to find a Rue-Roll area in these modern times we live in.
I'll say! Detroit would be a great place to be from--far from! I think it might be rather nice in a small town like Ionia MI.

But if you really want to get Rue-Roll, go to Freeport Michigan. There it is like the Twilight Zone episode where the guy driving in a bad storm went back in time, but for the modern cars you would have no idea. There is not a single chain store there. Whole town barely covers a quarter section.
Freeport mi isn’t far from me in GR.

I haven’t been there tho cuz no car.

Freeport - Isn't their local sports team known as "The Chugging Winos"?

There may be a few winos there. Think they have a bar--yes they do, the Shamrock Bar. But the town may be too small to actually have a sports team. I see two softball fields and that's it.

If I were a wino, I'd consider moving there, Like "Hey, Free Port!"

A dream world for the wino I guess. Just like Otis Campbell in Mayburry.

Ford sues owner after he flips his vehicle.
"Ford charges the defendants with flipping a new GT model worth $690,800 and selling it for more than double that price within a few weeks."

Sounds to me like Ford mis-priced the cars. If the flipper can sell it for 1,381,600+, then it must be worth more than Ford says it is.

However, to me it is not worth much. Doesn't even have a proper transmission. Look at this:

"7-Speed, Dual Clutch Automated Manual Transmission with Sequential Shift Controls (Paddles)"

What kind of double talk is that? Automated Manual Transmission? Rubbish. Paddles? A canoe?

No thanks. I'll keep my beater S10 with a real manual transmisison.

Sounds aboot right - keep in mind they never taught us how to negotiate these new-dangled-to-us roundabouts. Knot even shore they teach about it to the new drivers…

It's definitely still not in the Oklahoma driver manual. Maybe that's part of why so many make left turns by going clockwise.

 :o  Never seen that before, at least knot in a roundabout. Seen cars heading the wrong way on regular roads though. Now that’s Shirley a sight for sore eyes.

Pleae give me instructions for the easiest way through a roundabout, e.g. do I take a jacked up 4WD F350 with monster mudders and go straight through like as if it is a normal intersection?

Where did they get the idea for roundabouts? Aliens?

Clothes, but no (Bob) Seger.

It was from NASA...they never drop straight in on a planet or moon. They always circle around a bit first.

...or was it from Navy pilots coming in for carrier landings.....No, I guess some of them would come straight in if they could. Same goes for planes landing on runways - they don't all circle round before landing.
