The new 'Rolla is almost there in terms of styling, but that weird bifurcated headlight treatment kills it.

I really want to drive a vehicle with the Skyactiv-X engine, but it won't be out for a year. Boo!

If the too fyfe is an evolution of the current I'd imagine smileage will be better (EPA test procedures notwithstanding). It's pretty good in Malcolm, the normal seasonal downward adjustment notwithstanding.

Also my switch back to E10 causing a further degradation in smileage. Can't justify the $0.70/gallon of 91 E0.

there was a forum member, may still be lurking around, or maybe he's hanging from a rope, who once or twice said not to bother with hi-test in the winter. i know your reasoning for using hi-test is different, but probably still not worth the difference. which eye cud fink off hiss namen :? .

Probably one of the areas where E0 is only available in high-test. We have some stations like that here but there are others that carry E0 in all grades.

Here it's only 91 octane, of those sold at regular retail stations, which offer E0. I'm not sure if that's referred to as high test or not, but the stations offering it sell for about $0.70 over 87E10 and about $0.40 over 91E10.

Increasingly midgrade, 88, is E15 and slightly cheaper than 87.

Cold air and cold fuel both result in higher octane ratings.

But ethanol content is static at the pumps. If 87 were E0, I'd be set. Alas, Minnesota has a requirement for corn based fuel. Our. E0 pumps even have this absurd "warning" sticker than non-oxy is for vehicles that can be registered as classics, small engines... I figure 2.5 litres is a small engine.

I'm sure research and motor methods for testing fuel octane levels both call out some room air, engine and fuel temperature test ranges that are somewhere between 60 and 80 degrees F. If you ran the same fuel octane test with cold fuel, cold air or cold both, the test results would show higher octane even though chemically you didn't change the air or the fuel.

This is a problem with offering a vehicle with "Cold Air Intake" - the SAE, DIN, PS, etc. methods for measuring an engine's horsepressure call out what temperature to test at and how to correct for the barometric pressure, but there is no checkbox to say how hot it gets underhood or how much cooler it might be outside of the engine compartment, so you can't rig a test to show improved horsepressure on a vehicle model that sucks air through a pringles can.
Image
Similarly, you can't show how much the horsepressure wilts as the engine compartment heats up.

Been listening to some DJ from a Chinese radio station. Man, that dude is sick.

My Corona
The Sick
Ooh, my little sickly one, my sickly one
When you gonna give me some virus, Corona
Ooh, you make my nose run, my nose run
Got it coming out o' my eye, Corona
Never gonna stop, cough it up, such a sore lung
I always get it up, spit it out, looks like egg foo yung
My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-my Corona
Come a little closer, huh, a-will ya, huh?
Close enough to cough in my eyes, Corona
Keeping me in misery, it gets to me
Running to the drug store to get Nyquil, Corona
Never gonna stop, cough it up, such a sore lung
I always get it up, spit it out, looks like egg foo yung
My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!
M-m-m-my Corona
M-m-m-my Corona
Why you wanna give to me, a grave disease
Is it just a matter of dyin’, Corona?
Is it d-d-death to me, d-death to me
Or is it just a game with my life, Corona.…

The company called Stellantis was a vehicle manufacturer
Which lay before the great virus from China
In the area we now call Amsterdam
So great was her production volume, that from numerous ports
Those beautiful vehicles were shipped
To LATAM, APAC, and NAFTA with ease
In their ships with drive-on ramps
To the east, EMEA was a neighbor
Across a short strait of sea miles
The great K-Car age is but a remnant of The Pre-Stellantian culture
The PSA and FCA kings colonized the world
All the Automotive Magnates who play in the mythological dramas
In all legends from all lands were from fair Stellantis
Knowing her fate, Stellantis sent out press-releases to all corners of the Earth
On the videos were the Twelve
The CEO, the Product Planner, the Engineer
The Marketer, the Professor and Marianne and the other so-called gods of our legends
Though gods they were
And as the auto writers of our time choose to remain blind
Let us rejoice and let us sing and dance and ring in the new
Hail Stellantis!
