Well, this is ANOTHER fine mess!
HONDA HIT WITH FINE
Honda was slapped with a $70 million fine by the U.S. government for failing to report about death, injury and warranty claims in a timely manner. NHTSA learned about the automaker’s violations during its investigation into Takata’s airbag issues. Honda was hit with two separate $35 million fines, the maximum amount allowed under the law. But it’s not over yet for Honda. NHTSA is sharing its info with the Justice Department to determine if the violations will result in any criminal charges.
