Taking the Long Way Home
I have always felt that what unites all of us on this forum and why many of us are here, is not so much driving a vehicle with a manual transmission, but loving to drive in general. (It just so happens that people who like to drive, tend to prefer manuals.) And one of the benefits of our passion is going to cool and beautiful places in our vehicles, sometimes for no other reason than to enjoy the road. I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread where we can share photos of our travels, and the cars that took us there.
I'll guess I'll start...

Alright, now your turn...

Re: Taking the Long Way Home
After losing my job last year I was forced to move back home. I embarked on my 1200 mile journey with me in my car packed with all my possessions. I was sad to be leaving the city that I loved, but I was glad I had my car with me. It was the only thing I had left and I got to spend 2 full, non-stop days driving it. I wish I could've taken the "roadtrip" under better circumstances, but it was still an experience.
I'll dig through my files and see if I can come up with some photos.
Edit: I guess just one of my car by the water in Halifax:
I miss having no front plate.

Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

Re: Taking the Long Way Home
A few from my girlfriend and I's trip to California this summer. That trip opened my eyes to true natural beauty. I had never seen such wonderful landscapes before. The car was nothing special, but it wasn't the point.
Re: Taking the Long Way Home
I have some good pictures, but they were taken while driving my 4Runner (which is a slushbox), so I guess they don't really apply.

Love it! Great thread idea.
Here are a couple shots from last summer when Echo and I were still getting to know each other. I'm on a canyon run off the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA.

This was during a trip to the Mississippi Delta. We stayed in those sharecroppers shacks!

Looking for abandoned mining industry shortly after getting my licence. The car had around 40,000 km in the odometer at that time.
