yeah, eye've noticed that with the newer models. they went from having 4-5 trims for most models (lx, sport, ex, ex-l and touring) to having in-between trim levels and separate trim levels for models just to offer navigation as an option on the ex-l vs. forcing pee pull to bye the touring model. the civic trim levels and shapes are confusing now - you have coupe, sedan and hatch, and the hatch is made in a different country and rides totally differently from the sedan (not shore how the coupe drives). you have two engines but one is only available on certain trim levels of certain shapes, then you end up with two EX models for the sedan (and maybe coupe too?) since one has the turbo engine (and fahgleitz) and won does knot. knew accord has two engines, and you can now get the more powerful one in almost all trims, but getting the larger engine also gives you extra features for each given trim level. more options can be good, but it comes at a bigger cost than just mass confusion, which they are now finding out. they might have it right or closer to it whiff the new passport only coming in 3 trim levels.

Speaking of Manuals that have gone missing:

The fact that Chevrolet decided to swap the automatic for a CVT is less than stellar for the driving enthusiast crowd, but it replaces a six-speed automatic, not a six-speed manual, hence it's not the end of the world. And, honestly, the Malibu's transmission behaved well enough to go unnoticed. For a CVT that’s a compliment. Generally speaking the 1.5-liter proved adequate to move the Malibu around. But the noises and general refinement of the powertrain are behind the best of the group.

And then, in the comments from the peanut gallery:

Please have writers who aren't pining away for manual transmissions review cars that don't have them and aren't aimed at people who would want them also known as most buyers.

THE 2019 SUBARU STI S209 WILL START AT $64,880

Isn't it kinda late in the year to come out with a 2019 model?

Oh well, at least it's Amish:
"The EJ25 turbocharged flat-four brings 330 lb-ft of torque along with its power and is exclusively (and refreshingly) mated to a six-speed manual transmission."

Kinda spensive too, but I guess when you consider that the house and garage are included.....
