Kia Spectra

Post by eaglecatcher »

Wow, that bitch is slow. I was at a stoplight, and the dude inthe spectra clearly was racing me after he took off. The thing is, I launched in 1st gear normally, and shifted to 2nd at 2k rpm, and when he flew past me after I was way into 2nd gear, I had no chance to catch up, even though I beat him off the line. I didn't know we were racing though, so thats kind of unfair, but I caught up to him in 2nd gear from 1400 rpm, and thats pretty sad. THere is no power down there for me compared to upper in my powerband. I redlined 2nd and shifted to 3rd, and then blew past him. it wasn't even close after that. He decided to do this ricer flyby BS and cuts me off so he could get onto the hihway before me. Its a shame because I would have destroyed him.

Had i known we were racing, I'd have killed him even more, but I still killed him and didn't even know we were racing.

nope, 100% stock.

Its a shame I wasn't ready to race, or I'd have destroyed him.

I don't really like Kia Spectras that much even though they are the cousin car to the Elantra. They're not as sporty and in car magazine tests they're slower too, probably b/c of the extra weight over the Elantra. The Spectra you raced must have been either a slushbox or the guy was a crappy driver, maybe both. I do like the Kia spectra5 though.

Those Spectras are seriously weak. I smacked one hard in Mississippi a few months ago, with a fart cannon exhaust on it. You would've totally trashed him. :)

I would have thrashed him so bad if I had raced him.
