The Regal is actually more German than most of VWs lineup.

I do like the Regal and was looking into one. Just a bit too pricey for what is in my budget

Re: Does this unicorn exist?

Going back to the Jeep, I hear they went with a cable actuated shifter compared to the mechanical on in the JK. Wonder how it/if it would impact shift feel. I'm not all too sure how the 6 speed felt in the JK. Just curious is all. For OP. I feel an even more Unicorn would be anything with an I6 and ...

Re: When 5 gears just aren't enough

I've been tempted by a truck driving career. I'd be curious how reversing one them will be. I'm sure with practice it's not bad.

How was the clutch?

Re: FS: 1996 Honda Civic 5 speed manual

Ah yeah, still driving it. Splitting it between that and the Volvo. Very annoying having two cars.

I will trim it back to 1 again.

Perhaps! When does everyone want to do it?

Darts are absolute garbage no matter what transmission they have. Do not buy one.
Many car companies at least used to use an external slave.

I know my Civic has one and a few Subaru, Mini and Mazdas do.

Dodge Dart Manuel Woes

That's a shame. I almost bought one of these and was considering it very heavily. Still do sometimes.

It's funny how a lot of automakers are putting slave cylinders inside the bell-housings of the transmissions.

I've ridden in the Forester. I Feel like the seats are really shallow.

I'll be honest, I was tempted by the Outback with the automatic. Or even the Legacy.

Wait, you can get the SMART car with a stick?

Also, I've been looking at the Subaru Impreza lately. Trying to get back to basics.

You can't get the Mitsubishi Lancer with a stick? Not sure why my eye pulled to that car lol

Last time I checked you can't get the Focus hatch with a stick. Unless it was an ST/RS. Only the sedan has the 5 speed offering. I think you can still get the 1.0l with the 6 speed as well.

Re: Finally got another car

Hmm I don't think its the clutch as a 1-3 shift works alright.

I've heard good things about the redline fluid as well. I'll definitely have to change the fluid if I plan on keeping the car. Though this was kind of one of those purchases I did just because.

Re: Finally got another car

Amazing how terrible the gearbox is in the winter. I've done some research and many people complain about getting locked out of first and second when the gearbox is cold. What's funny is sometimes I get locked IN first gear. Makes for some sticky situations. Like almost getting T-Boned a few times b...

Re: Where can you work on your car?

I was in a parking lot and someone was doing a fuel pump. He had the tank dropped and all that. Did not envy him whatsoever. I would fear that once you start the job, they'd tell you to get lost halfway through.
