Re: Hi there!
Not that I don't appreciate the increased ratio span of the transmission Who puts in an increased ratio span? I'm the only person in the world who wants it, but I'm not an automotive engineer so I don't get to make that choice...everyone else wants closer ratios and that seems to be what gets put i...

Re: Car Work Today...
Bummer about all that. There's a few things I would have done differently... O2 sensors: Why did you assume that? Did you pull the codes? I've had plenty of CELs but never had a bad O2 sensor. I hope your sensors were cheap. Uneven tire wear: If they're aligned the same and one is wearing the insid...

Re: Hi there!
Im infatuated with 6spds and morally against automatics  I'm morally against using quantity of gears to identify a transmission. Automatics in cars are now available with more and less speeds than manuals; there's 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 speed automatics, but AFAIK only 5 and 6 speed manuals on ...

Yes, I'm sure she came away from that thinking "Oh dear, I really must be more careful" instead of "WTF was that stupid jerk doing there and why did he blame me"...you know how humble those Excursion-driving soccer moms are. It's like yelling at your cat - he just thinks your vo...

Re: Car won't start unless clutch is pressed
almost all cars have a clutch-start interlock. your clutch switch was probably stuck in the down position, so it allowed you to start without pressing the clutch in. what you have now is normal behavior. If you were trying to grow dandelions (for salad greens), a blade of grass would be a weed to y...

I'd say the FD, but I obviously have my reasons for it ;). If you can find a Surpa, good luck. I personally prefer the rx-7 to the rx-8, but have you looked into an 8? My buddy has had one for about 2-3 years, no problems with it. Don't know technical specs on it though. Hey noob, if I could ever g...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Well, summer is rapidly approaching us in CA. And now I'm beginning to wonder if I can retrofit an AC condenser into the heater box without changing the overall interior look. Probably be easier to retrofit yourself with a chilled water vest and/or cap. Just use a washer pump and some aquarium tubi...

Re: Reliable, Powerful, RWD V6 or V8 cars
3000GT's were made in Japan. Sister car to the Dodge Stealth. All parts are MMC. If you don't think much of Chrysler, then MMC is the Chrysler of Japan. Apparently all that Rally Car know-how doesn't translate into production vehicles that don't have issues with suspension bushings, brakes, cam belt...

Good point. I hadn't thought of that. Too much heat cycling the catalyst can't be great for its health. No, you WANT the heat. A hot catalyst is your friend. I think you missed one word there. everyone knows cycling is GOOD for health, not bad. Just axe Tony! After a good day of cycling, it's about...

What are those things up front? They look like wheels, only they are too skinny to be wheels. Cornering and braking would be for spit.permabanned wrote:saw this thing last night. amazing car in person
