Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Check on availability of parts first! It would be terrible if you walked all the way over here and then they didn't have what you needed / wanted. I went looking for a particular brand of vehicle and it didn't show in their drop-down menu of choices......I found out that they won't let you do a real...

Re: Modern Amish Transportation

If you had an Amish hybrid (no, not a mule) you could just reverse the polarity to the electric motor while the trans was in 1st to operate in Reverse.

Re: I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars

That's not OP. This is page 2. It reads like a bot post...Some odd linguistics ("cannot find true buyer," "mop my cotton sheet," "i stuck with previous one..."), non sequitur with the rest of the topic, and involving a BMW. Probably will come back and add some SEO links to the post or profile after...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

By an also strange coincidence, I think I met this guy at a Chrysler Employee Motorsports Association car show a few-couple years ago!

He had just gone to MOAB with a jeep that one (or two) might think couldn't be trusted to make it to the end of the driveway.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

With I-75 undergoing a major reconstruction project in the area between my home and my place of employment, and many of the roads crossing under the freeway experiencing sporadic closures due to freeway overpass construction, it sometimes gets to the point that I have to check with Google Maps on ho...

Re: A standard is standard on this new (revived) model

As a summer hire forestry intern with the City of Southfield MI in the 1980s I sometimes got to drive the F350 dump truck. It had a 3-speed plus creeper gear. Was a fun truck to drive. Way better than the Chevy pickup with inline six and automatic that hardly could get out of its tracks that they u...

Officially, this year's Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise was cancelled......but you can you stop vehicles from driving on a road? I saw only a few spectators in lawn chairs along the route, but tonights cruisers were typical of any other Friday night before the Saturday cruise date. I'm going out tomorr...

Re: A standard is standard on this new (revived) model

Wonder what the extra cost for an automatic is? Will it deter people from switching up? All good, but I like the good-old-days of 4-speed and even 3-speed manuals. With 7 gears you might start thinking you are driving a big rig. Is the engine that under powered that they have to have all those gear...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Hey Clutchfork!

I've been searching all the u-pick auto salvage yards I can find for a particular vehicle...but this particular vehicle seems to be as scarce as the teeth on a hen. Do you know of any places that I might not have checked at? (name all the U-pick yards you know of please).
