Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

I'm waiting for the warmer weather and summer blend petrol so I can get back into the 30s for mileage. I've been stuck around 27 with the 2.5 (specced most similarly to the 1.5T you've been driving which is IIRC 192hp/192 torques). Since the roads have started drying out I understand why I gravitat...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

If I lived in LI or wherever there might be ridiculous traffic, I’d just get the Accord with the CVT. Blasphemous, I know, but it is that good. If you’re not driving too much each year, I’d forego the hybrid and get the 1.5T. Try for the EX-L; settle for the EX or Sport. Gross. I'd at least go 2.0T...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

The one I looked at was $28k and by the time I'm ready do really look there should be a new generation. Still open to options given the considerations I've placed upon what I want. The money doesn't work for me right now in any case. This timeline also gives Mazda a chance to officially release the...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Drove a WRX yesterday. Had the touchscreen and the kit that I would want, but as Teamwork said the interior is from a $15k car, and not a nearly $30k car. I get that the drivetrain is the expensive part, ut how do other vehicles with similar options (albeit without a manual) manage to have a nicer ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

We need more greens offered on cars. Several years ago I drove a Mustang with gotta-have-it green. Very did want. Yanno, they're wuss a period of thyme wear know vehicles were offered in green...maybe 1978 to 1990 or so. Then Teal and other shades of green started coming out....it was like people h...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

First, I believe you're in the market for a Subaru Impreza/Crosstrek with a stick shift? When me and my wife were shopping around for her new lease we were actually presented a 2016 (it may of been 2015- memory hazy) Subaru Impreza "sport trim" with a 5 speed manual. Shocked this was available on t...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

You're right. I kept getting weird looks when I expressed 0 interest in anything with a CVT. Going to talk to a dealer, explain the situation and my circumstances, and gather information. It never hurts to arm yourself. half ewe cun sid dirt uh left over oar used forester?? Last gen forester premiu...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Went to the auto show. The Impreza can get me mostly where I want with AWD (obvi) and a manual, but poop warmers and a sunroof can only be had with a CVT (ewe). It's a similar situation with the Crosstrek. The Mazda3 can be had with either AWD or a manual, but not both. However, according to the au...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Are you able to stroke your stick again with the Yota? I've been vaguely opening my eyes lately to see if AWD can be had with a stick. I'm still a ways off and am not in a hurry, but curiosity gets the best of me. The new Mazda3 can be had with AWD or a stick, but I haven't heard a definitive answe...
