CNN’s Anti-Manual-Transmission Article Is Just Total Garbage

"But the problem is that it does not seem like Hockenos really ever understood the appeal of driving stick, nor does he seem to care about manual transmissions, at least beyond the fact that they annoy him, somehow. Which is probably why his op-ed, charitably, sucks, and, even worse, is strangely and needlessly sexist."

Subaru WRX STI S210 Prototype Debuts in Tokyo - Autoweek
"Powering the latest WRX STI S machine is a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer. This FA24 sees a new intake, new exhaust system, and a reworked controller and now pushes 300 hp through the Subaru Performance Transmission. That’s right, this limited-edition WRX STI won’t get a manual and is the first WRX STI to sport the brand’s continuously variable transmission. That said, Subaru did retune the CVT to work better with the bump in power.
