I've known Adam for decades. His career has paralleled mine. Mostly, he worked as an engineer for companies that were suppliers to the company I worked for. Actually, I'm now working for the last supplier that Adam had worked for. I was hired after Adam had left the company, but I didn't hire in to replace him. In the years I've been with the company, my job has evolved to where I am responsible for some projects that Adam initiated.
