The case for the manual transmission
Why we take matters into our own hands. (And feet.)
"Question: Say you had to choose between two new sports cars at the same price. One has a dual-clutch automatic, numb steering, and an engine that sounds like a vacuum cleaner. The other is a live wire with a clutch pedal but two seconds slower to 60 mph. Do you pick speed or the cocktail that most tightens your pants? Which option represents why you love cars? Do you want to ride to 60 in three seconds or drive there in five?"
^^ I believe the new Mustang 5.0 comes in a stick too (in fact, it's standard).
Anyway, I like R&T is now rallying for us, like C&D was for a long time. If they could only band together and make our dreams come true. Oh well.
On a side note, the article links to news that the 2016 Chevy SS will have a stick! If I don't have a CTS-V by then, this is next on the list BONUS, it's a police car in Australia!!!
I'm loving GM again!!! Ever since the death of Pontiac and the end of the GTO and G8, I thought it was all over for GM performance vehicles. Then came the CTS-V, Corvette ZR1, Camaro ZL1 and Z/28, and now the Chevy SS, Buick Grand National and GNX. And they come in STICK! Faith in humanity restored.
Hope all this hooplah will slap Ford in the face, and make them bring the Aussie Ford FPV Falcon GT over as a new SVT Contour or something.

Absolutely! The Fox mustang 1979 - 1993 was the best. If I ever had one that's what I would want.

Looks like I'm wrong. IN FACT, it's the 2015 Chevy SS that will have MRC and a 6-speed!!!!! That's in a few months!!! Proven by images below from the MY2015 GM Online Ordering Guide, published July 17th, 2014. Showing both Magnetic Ride-Control standard, and 6-speed (and 3.73 rear axle!) as an option!!! My next new car awaits!!!!!
