Ah yes, treasures every one of them. In the right hands, a loving restoration. The world will never see such masterfully built cars again.

No we have to upgrade them so they are not driven by the engine. Like a motorcycle kick starter. Oh yeah, that is the other bad thing that happened over time that many if not all motorcycles now come with electric start. Part of that problem is the bikes are too big.tankinbeans wrote:Broken wrists and arms are fun. Right?Shadow wrote:Hand crank start. Right up his alley. Haha

Re: More In-Line with Paul's Desires?
I just had a beautiful day. It was like heaven. I spent several hours walking around Henry Ford Greenfield Village. They drive Model T's, Model A's including trucks and busses, all around the village. It was great. What a wonderful retirement job, to drive these historic cars around the village. That way I stay out of Shadow's way and get to have my fun.

Ohio man's collection of '36 Fords going to auction
The collection of 1936 Fords includes a panel van, a four-door convertible, a tanker truck, a dump truck, a pickup, a “humpback” sedan and coupe, a Woody and a four-door Phaeton. There are also two 1936 one-ton flatbed trucks and a Ford fire truck from that year as well.

Paul,
"How would you like to commute to work in an original Ford Model T? That’s what David Liepelt is known to do. He also raced his T against a Tesla Model S from Michigan to Long Island as part of an article that Car And Driver did. And he’s our guest on Autoline After Hours tomorrow night. So join me and Gary Vasilash for some of the best insider discussion in the business starting at 6 pm eastern time right here at Autoline.tv"
That will be live April 24th, starting at 6 pm, or you can watch it dead at a later time.

Re: More In-Line with Paul's Desires?
Thanks for the post. I guess I have to watch it dead because I don't have a television set. Now I am actually thinking of putting a "steal this truck" sticker on my Ranger so I will have an excuse to get a Model A.

Re: More In-Line with Paul's Desires?
Yesterday I saw a Model A just driving down the road at rush hour, like a boss. Wasn't holding up traffic or anything, just going along at around the 40mph limit.
