I like watches but sometimes I think a massive watch looks a bit goofy...or it could. I like your new one though. I do have a basic Seiko watch for special occasions.

I have pretty slim wrists and wear big watches. As long as it's not the size of the kitchen clock, it's fine.

I'm pretty much the same way. I can't deal with leather or plastic bands though. Mine need to be metal.

Ditto. Either metal or silicone bands for me. Or ceramic, although I don't have any ceramic watches.

I do not like metal bands. They make my skin itchy and they oxidize quite a bit because I tend to sweat quite a bit.

Polyurethane bands that Casio uses work best for me. They don't make me itch, they are bacteria-resistant and are easy to clean. Win on all fronts, except looks, but that's subjective.

I was just thinking of this. I kind of like those rectangular Casio watches.

They say time is money, but also time is pressure when you don't have enough of it. Good reason to not wear a watch (besides avoiding the colony of microorganisms that live on the inside surface of the band during hot summers). :|

You have a colony of microorganisms living on your skin as it is. A few million more won't hurt between showers.

I do like that Casio posted above.

Yes, but the gunky green pasty stuff that I had to scrape off after a couple hot months was pretty disgusting.

That's why you don't wait a couple of months. It's like not washing your junk for two months - imagine the stuff growing there!

I have a utility tooth brush that I keep in the bathroom. Once a week or so while in the shower I just scrub the watch and band. Nothing grows there.

Rare times but you are completely wrong. I adore metal bands that hurt my ears.
