Fret not. The much anticipated 7 speed (the clutch pedal kind) from Porsche will render the reverse location of a 6 speed irrelevant.

I think in 2005, 44% of VWs sold were manual. I'm sure that number has dropped considerably, but I like little glimmers of hope. Someone in my neighbourhood owns a manual Audi A4 2.0T.

Cool ad campaign though.

"Bestway" is an accurate name. Truth in advertising, I say.

I didn't think anyone did either. I'm betting they have both varieties of transmissions... but it is nice to know someone is willing to teach manuals...

Indeed. If they manage to still have a manual transmission vehicle in their fleet 14 years from now, I know where I'm sending my sons. I can teach them myself but I'll support any business that's for the manual transmission cause.

Apparently Young Drivers of Canada teaches manual as well, so not completely rare maybe at least on this side of the border?

In Toronto, there is a driving school DEDICATED to mastering the manual transmission.

And young Canadian fishermen are being educated to master their trade as well.

Newfies can go to vocational school to learn how to be the best at putting worms on fishing hooks.
