Get it up on the planks, chock the wheels, apply the park brake, leave it in 1st or Reverse and ewer goodyear go.For oil changes I don't bother with jacks or ramps, I just drive onto a couple layers of planks. I have short sections of 2x8, 2x10, and 2x12, and I put two layers (staggered so the tires only climb one layer at a time) under all four wheels. That gives my VW and my Buick plenty of clearance to work comfortably under the car (rather than pretending I'm Buzz Lightyear).
