Hey, Destroyit is a safe place to visit if you don't know anyone. Most murders are among acquaintances, relatives, or business / love competitors.

a lot of the tows we get in detroit are domestics. baby daddy/husband/ex has the keys and so "veh won't start needs tow" to the wife/gf/baby momma house...of course it won't START without KEYS even the new fangled cars have to have the fob inside the car to START....

closest i get to detroit is the westin southfield every spring for penguicon. i park in the parking garage (as close to an entrance as possible, preferably, its a short garage and no tow truck fits...) and then leave after 3-4 days...usually never leaving the hotel during con.

last time my drivers found out i was in detroit - and didn't come see them - they got annoyed/fake mad. sorry dudes. i wasn't driving on 8 mile in my deceased grandpa's car....2019 it'll be a rental but still. no thanks.

That has me wondering if smithing trucks are still able to create a key (more likely to be a fob) to help stranded people things.

I don't think the corporate wisdom has decayed quite to the point where a dead battery means you have to put a forklift through the windows, heave the thing on a flatbed, and haul it off to the junkyard.

Most of the fob-only vehicles I'm aware of have a hidden key in the fob and a pop-off panel on the driver's door handle that exposes a hidden keyhole. That one would still be susceptible to the tools of the trade.

smithing trucks? like locksmiths? Yes they can make fobs. its more expensive at night, and the dealer usually needs to be open to get codes

most people don't know where their hidden keys are. easist calls for my drivers...

i don't know either cuz i don't own a car. many people are surprised when they find i'm working for aaa but no car. we don't get a discount on insurance, only a free basic (5 mile) membership, so i'm not getting a car...

Yup, I meant locksmiths. Hadn't occurred to me that smithing is more metallurgy than picking locks.

Related note, I know where my locks only key is, on the pooper of the fob. Can't start shit with it, but can get in the car.

you may have moved but the closest locksmith thats contracted to shakopee is in savage and they're days only - which is cheaper for members, but they do not like being told to call back later....the only part of MN i don't cover is hennepin county. the rest is my aaa
