Anything that can remove pain will also likely damage the lens by dulling them. How much overspray is there?

wet sand starting with 800 and progressing to like 2000 grit.... then polish them and they will be awesomely clear.

OP, bawked is right, if you wet sand with 1000 - 1500 grit first followed by 2000, followed by polishing compound or something of that sort, followed by a coat of wax they will be clear and shiny! Don't get too aggressive with the sanding though.
