Re: jomotopia's new ride
If THAT is the WRX, then I can only wonder what the STi would look likeShadow wrote:Congrats on the new car. I've never been much of a WRX fan (or a fan of Subaru in general) myself, but if the next generation looks anything at all like the concept, I might just become a big fan. I really like the styling direction they're moving toward....

That is not the new WRX. More recent spy photos have the car looking a different shape.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

It's a concept version. Says so right in the pic. If you have better/more accurate pics, post them up.4onthefloor wrote:That is not the new WRX. More recent spy photos have the car looking a different shape.

Re: jomotopia's new ride
Depends. Look at the original Dodge Viper. It was pretty much exactly as it looked as a concept. But yeah, sometimes a concept car looks a lot different than the actual production version. And sometimes there are certain features that look cool on the concept, but never make it into production. For example, look at the mirrors in the WRX concept picture I posted. Cool for sure, but will never make it on the production car.Squint wrote:lol but how often are concepts actually like the new cars?Shadow wrote:It's a concept version. Says so right in the pic. Re: jomotopia's new ride
Looks kinda like a Legacy GT and a Civic Si got together and had a baby.
Re: jomotopia's new ride
Doesn't look all that different than the concept pic to me, although it is obviously heavily disguised. I do see a bit of Civic Si in the design for sure....
Re: jomotopia's new ride
very nice in orange, would love to see the interior as well. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it roughly cost you?

Re: jomotopia's new ride
I'll try to get some more pictures, including the interior, sometime soon. The interior is really nice with black upholstery, dash, and doors, with orange stitching highlights and orange WRX on the seats.silent425 wrote:very nice in orange, would love to see the interior as well. It was basically list price for a WRX Limited, $29k and some change.

Re: jomotopia's new ride
How does it feel going from an STi to a WRX? You said you were just about to sign for a DGM STi. I probably would've stuck with the STi .

Re: jomotopia's new ride
Holy hell it's Jomo!
Welcome back man! Love the car and I can totally see why you wanted that in that color over an STi. Stunning! I got a ride in a friend's 2011 or 2012 WRX with a tune and exhaust and it was so damn fast. I can easily see the new WRX's being faster than the old STi's if you throw some parts at them.

Welcome back, Jomo!
Wasn't that orange option part of a special edition WRX of sorts (beyond just being a rare color)?
