I don't wash my car. I hate it and I wish it would burn.

i've owned the car since nov 2007, and other than rain showers (like today) it hasn't gotten a wash. i have to do it by hand b/c of the hole in the rear pass door...

The truck isn't worth washing. maybe when it warms up before I rattle can this years rust. it's still got stains from going through the mud at a drift day (yea, yea I did  ) I think I washed the cressida once or twice...

This is not the distribution of results I was expecting. It seems like there's 3 kinds of people in the world when it comes to car-washing. I wash every few weeks, but I figured out the drive-through washes weren't doing my clearcoat any favours. It'll have to be handwash only from now on, which I'm not gonna be doing as often. :-/

My clear coat is like gone lol. When its perfectly clean you can see thousands of those tiny little hair lines.

I am going to have to resurface it sometime because just polish/wax doesn't do the trick.

And I wash once a week. Usually the Sunday wash.
And during the week just hit it quick with the hose to get the big stuff off.

we (my family) were talking about cars and emily and i decided if our cars (we both drive a spirit, hers is a 94, mine 89) got washed, they'd fall apart. aaron (cousin)'s car went into the ditch and is all dirty (malibu, i think, hand-me-down from his mom!), and his brother's car is a 94 black grand am. black, and dirty :P

hmmm, in the summer, probably every other week. id be all hyped up for making my car look good, plan on washing, claying, buffing, waxing, cleaning out the interior, the whole ordeal. then ill be filling up the bucket to wash it and think to myself how bored i am already and how much i dont feel like washing it, so ill wash it and screw everything else

so far, i probably havent washed my car since last october or november. theres really no point. in the winter, it was cold and snowy and salt on the roads and shit. now its dry and good weather, but still too cold. that and all my sideskirts are broken. i broke my only good one snow drifting, but i have the replacements ready to go back on when i get around to prepping and painting them.

so far plans for the spring break

1. mount one of my old BFGs in place of the messed up pilot sport
1b. put on summer wheels, hope it doesnt snow again
2. prep and paint the side skirts
3. prep and paint a fender off the parts car
4. put in black interior
5. thoroughly wash and detail the car. simple wash wont touch anything at this point. its been dirty so long, the shit is absorbed into the paint, im in teh buffer and rubbing compound and wetsand stage

but when its all done, it will look great again, kinda like it did last summer after i put on my new hatch

my friend washed his probe and his mustang and it rained later that day.

then i drove my car thru a car wash and it came out looking exact same as it went in, only with water running off of it.

i give up trying to keep my car looking nice in the winter, next winter ill need a piece of shit to drive in the winter like some cheap awd turbo dsm to have fun in the snow or something

You ended the vote too soon man :o  !
I used to wash my car once or twice a month; now I wash it maybe 3 times a year and haven't given it a real waxing in 2 years  . Still looks pretty good when I rinse it off though :) .
