Well the fact that you use touchpad on the laptop and a mouse on the desktop may have skewed the results.

Statefarm is also building a new headquarters office nearby.
Toyota is moving more than just his Fiancee to Texas - he's bringing his mistress, too!

"Toyota will consolidate its far-flung operations in the United States into a single campus in Plano, Texas, with a targeted move-in completion date of late 2017, the automaker said today. Following a week of rumor regarding the relocation of Toyota's sales and marketing operations based near Los Angeles came confirmation of a much larger-scale relocation of nearly all Toyota's processes and operations in the United States to the suburb north of Dallas"

Autoline Daily had an interesting interview at the tail end of today's show:

WHAT TOYOTA WORKERS CAN EXPECT
"Yesterday I had an interesting Skype interview with Larry Dominique, the executive vice president of TrueCar, but who used to be the head of product planning for Nissan in the Americas. With Toyota announcing that it’s going to pull out of southern California I wanted to talk to Larry about it because he went through the same thing when Nissan pulled out of there.

(Skype interview with Larry Dominique can only be viewed in the video version of today’s show.)

I have a lot of sympathy for the Toyota workers. This is going to be one of the most disruptive experiences of their careers."

My training video and my inspiration. The car owner has been using this Model A as a daily driver for a year now, even in the snow. I want the pickup bed model instead of the rumble seat or sedan. Listen, you can actually hear the machinery as he drives. What a beautiful machine! :)

Paul, you'd love that car. I've driven one of those on occasion. Double clutching it is fun. You can almost get away with single clutching the upshifts without grinding, but not the downshifts. I double clutched every shift when I drove it, and since there's no synchros, you'll know when you're doing it correctly. I'm surprised that the video didn't mention anything about the choke or mixture control during the starting procedure. They must've been starting a warm engine.

Probably much better videos out there. I have a couple books on the Model A and one has the shifting procedure. It did not mention needing to double clutch except on down shifts if you didn't slow down a lot before shifting. Of course they told you the speeds at which to up shift and I think if you went much higher it would need double clutching.

My brother-in-law that now works for Toyota might have his job from Kentucky moved to Texas because of Toyota's big upheaval.

Unrelated: being sick sucks. Recovering from having a bad cold. I would like to not cough randomly, I really would. It wasn't bad in terms of being sick, but that lingering cough is just annoying.

Very tired and very sleepy. It's been a long week.

Get out of work in an hour, go walk the dog, go to Bass Pro and pick up some #6 birdshot for squirrel and rabbit tomorrow. Go home, pickup a nice veggie pizza, sit on couch and have a beer.

That's the plan. Hunting Saturday morning.

Downside of flat rate pay system: 18.X hours over the course of three 8-9 hour days.
Upside of flat rate pay: 17.4 hours in one day yesterday. Sometimes things turn around.

Finally got a set of center caps for the new wheels. Much better.

I need to start preparing myself and the car for my trip to the huge car show in Carlisle, PA in a couple weeks.

I went with my parents over to my aunt and uncle's house today. My uncle bought a 2-post lift from a shop that went out of business. I'm mad jelly.

We also saw 13 deer eating corn on their lawn at once.

Taken with my phone potato:
