All three Neil Young songs you list are excellent, but there are tons more great ones. I prefer artists where I like pretty much everything they put out. Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Winter are my big three in non-classical.Shadow wrote: Haha...that's funny. I don't listen to albums; I listen to songs. What I mean is this--there are very few (maybe one or two) albums that I like every song. That's extremely rare. I'll pick the songs that I like off an album and put them into my music collection. Usually, that's three or four songs out of the entire album. I have three Neil Young songs in my collection: Cinnamon Girl, Old Man, and Heart of Gold.
I have a couple Coby 4GB players where the batteries last about 25-30 hours.
A case for CDs: I just bought a copy of Haydn's Mass in F Minor and Mass in C Major today used for $5. It turns out it was recorded Trinity Church, Wall Street. Then I see a photo of the church with the World Trade Center looming over it in the immediate background. Reading the liner notes, the organist of the church tells the story of 911 and how people took refuge in the church. You don't get that information in a download.
