I don't recall being part of any empire in recent history. We use the SI system like all modern and civilized nations.

Also, I used US gallons for the conversion in Google.

Over 30 around town, all stop and go with plenty of hills and not the best MT skills. I hardly ever go on the freeway but when I do it seems to get around 38-40. Now that the Fit is getting broken in the MPG is creeping upward.

I saw where gas prices are expected to go up quite a bit, maybe even close to $5 a gal. They are already plenty high here, like about $3.70.

I love the Kia Soul commercials! They don't seem to have any for the Fit.

36 city. I think it's using more oil than gas now, though.

21mpg now. That's a 3.7 mile city commute after warming the car to at least 75* coolant temp. That's five days a week. I also do a 25 mile city-country-city commute once a week. Maybe 20 highway miles a week.

One 13-14 gallon fill-up lasts me two weeks.

Just got 25.8 MPG on my last tank. Was hooning around quite a bit than my previous tank. Drove highway for about 1.5-2 hours towards the end, probably bumped up the MPG a bit.

25.5 MPG as of this fill-up. I almost wonder if it makes a difference that I fill from half. I still have couple botched high RPM starts now and then so that's probably part of it.

That depends on how sensitive your car is to weight and how much your tank capacity is.

I doubt your extra fuel and botched launches represent a measurable difference. If you were getting 60MPG then a much smaller loss would affect your fuel economy much more noticeably, but in the 25-35 range it takes more than that.

You're probably right. I think it's a combination of differences in driving location (more or less highway versus 'burbs), differences in blend (winter versus summer; winter is very much in use right now), and amount of time idling and using defrosters. I haven't had to use the defroster much, but it varies. Since I'm not a hypermiler I'll just chock it up to the factors above; I have gotten a bit friskier on my freeway entrances. I'm still averaging 27 over 5000 miles and it'll inch back up this summer.

Have never driven in snew...

Tahoe 20.4mpg. Probably 60% hwy, 40% heavy traffic/stop and go.
GT 500 18.1mpg. Same.
Mitsubishi around 22mpg, I'm guessing. More city driving.

I just calculated my actual gas mileage. It came out at 19.65 MPG with moderate, 100% city driving. It seems a little low to me.

Close to 31 mpg now. Mostly town driving but with little stop and go.
