Sorry about the religion thing, just a friendly jab, no harm intended; but I agree fully that the guy was a jackass/retard/motherf*ckin' idiot. He drove drunk Kelly. That is absolutely inexcusable. If you drive drunk I don't care how many times you apologize, ultimately it was YOU who put the key in the ignition and decided to drive drunk and nearly kill someone. You should bear full responsibility for the actions.

what if we're talking about osama bin laden? we can't call him an asshole? at the very VERY VERY least that man deserves to be called an asshole.

Listen, it's super duper nice that he's being forgiven and such, but when you cut through all the BS here's what we're left with: Some asshole's bad decision severely mangled your innocent friend, so bad that it's a miracle that months later she wiggled a toe. We all make mistakes but when our mistakes have such severe consequences we are rightly blamed for them.

Agreed...I was addressing the whole pity party we're having for him in here, not the issue of what her and her family do about the situation.

Folks, there's no need to pull your punches or feel bad for blaming him. If it was an innocent mistake then maybe blaming him and thinking bad of him is all he should rightly get as punishment, if it was a careless mistake then probably more, but our only job is to blame him and call him names.

If I had done it, after my immediate instinctive defensiveness quit I'd agree with the people who are calling me names.
