time to bleed the clutch system?

i just started to get a very tiny "click/blip" noise and feeling when i depress my clutch pedal 75% of the way down.

there has been no consequence to the overall shifting of the gears. no missing, gear popping out,grinding or anything. gears rarely slip. gears grab well, so i highly doubt its time replace the entire clutch assembly.

i replaced my master/slave cylinder 6-7 months ago.

can you feel the click in your foot? like does it feel like after the 75% mark it gets lighter\heavier? or do you just hear it when you push it in?

i feel it in my foot, very miniscually (sp? if thats a word..Lol)

it doesnt cause the pedal to be lighter or heavier or nething.

nothing is affected (yet..) i can shift gear perfectly fine, its just a weird bump i noticed..

That happened to me before. Nothing changed except I felt a click/snap everytime I pushed the clutch down. Annoyed the hell out of me, but it went away after a couple months. No idea what it was.

i bought the Z in march 2009, so obv i havent seen it in 20-25degree weather before..

very possible. after the car is warmed up fully (make sure to slip that clutch!) see if it goes away or at least diminishes the sound a bit. my guess would be diaphragm spring, throwout bearing, the hydraulics, or the actual pedal itself.

the metal linkages the diaphragm spring contains can sometimes break, but usually only after heavy use. the broken off linkage can sometimes smack against the rim of the diaphragm and after you apply enough force it bounces through off the other side making a springy noise. kind of like when you try and flick a pencil off your finger while holding it in one hand and it makes a flick noise coming off your finger.

throwout bearing could just be worn, but more than likely it would make a grinding sound, not a thunk sound at a certain point. if it was out of whack a little bit i could see it making a thumping sound when you first go to push it down (so that its hitting the center rim of the diaphragm spring) but even that is like a bajillion in one chance.

most likely its your clutch pedal itself just hitting off something. make sure its not rubbing against anything through its travel.

it could be your hydraulic system but the only way it would make a thunking sound is if it was at the end of its travel and the piston was actually hitting the tube.

From my vats esperience, I would say that you ARE out of whack. Go to your nearest auto parts store and tell them you need two quartz of whack. It may take them a while to cum up with two quartz of whack, so be prepared to wait or prepay and cum back later in the day. Czech ewer shop manual on how to refill the whack reservoir. Make sure you don't spill any, because whack is very corrosive and you'll only have seconds to get the whack off before it destroys something.

Yep def a cold clutch will do this. Perfectly normal.
