Mounting: Emergency Window Breaker

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

Very good suggestion. I'm debating whether I should expoxy it or if I should drill it in like the tool itself suggests.

AND FYI, it serves as a seatbelt cutter too.

I also keep a fire extinguisher in the trunk, I actually try to plan for whatever I can, "BE PREPARED" just stuck with me, and I remember asking the guy at pep boys is it safe to have the fire extinguisher in the car when it sits in the trunk on a very hot day for hours at a time and he said, "if the fire extinguisher explodes due to massive heat exposure then it should put itself out."

I almost collapsed from laughter.
i plan for everything too....but sometimes, its not good. haha.

i have all my fluids in the trunk cuz i don't have a garage, and my parents'll use it if i keep it in theirs....lulz

AAA, and other organizations, usually recommend keeping fluids, fan belts, fuses, and the like when going on a "road trip" because they can often fix a slew of commonly had problems.

theholycow, I should probably find a better place for the extinguisher, but I do have access to the trunk from the cabin (as it's a snatchback) and frankly, I have no where to mount it.

watkins, velcro is an interesting suggestion, but I wonder if the crash is forceful enough, will it become disloged? (I'm counting on it being stationary so that if I'm completely submerged in opague (black) water and I'm spinning in circle upside down, so long as I'm strapped in my seat, I'll be able to locate it -- quickly.

Super glue sucks. I honestly cant stand the stuff. It never holds for long, and it almost never dries anywhere near as fast as its supposed to

This stuff really lives up to its name however:

This is because water has already encompassed the outside, so after the inside is completely filled, moving the door is like moving your body underwater.

It works because the solid object displaces the water, and wherever it moves, the water follows.

You have swam underwater right?
The key is after the inside is completely filled. That takes quite a while (assuming your windows were closed)--you'd probably have run out of survival time by the time the pressures reach equilibrium. Breaking the window gives you a better chance.

The best technique I've heard of is to kick the window out with your feet.

You came to this corner of the country? What lake was it?

I know you're smart. A smart person would choose that lake for committing a crime; when a witness calls 911, it will take a long time to communicate the name, thereby giving more getaway time.

The locals probably just refer to it as "Lake Chargo", because there isn't enough space on any police forms to write the full name of that lake.

The locals actually call it "Webster Lake"...but that's not nearly as entertaining.

I wouldn't mind having manual window rollers for MY window, but what if I need to put down/up one of the back windows, or the passenger window? That would cause a problem.
