Bosch vs. Champion spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
Bosch vs. Champion spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
What is the difference between these two brands?
It's what Canadian Tire sells, so that's why I'm asking.
The guys at CT said that they're both similar but Bosch has slightly thicker wires.
The price is about the same, but Bosch is slightly cheaper, the wires were more expensive by about $1.50, and the cap and rotor, $9.

I think Roman would be the best person to ask. I'm gonna say Champion with my half-ass opinion because Bosch is worthless, but I don't know how Champion is.

bosch is garbage
champion is alright. nowhere near their quality back when they were the exlusive plug supplier to F1, now they are meh
id go with delcos for your fireturd, hard to go wrong with oem plugs.

Re: Bosch vs. Champion spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
no you dont.
bosch is garbage. the end. no proof needed.
delco is your oem plug. as pathetic as american car companies are, they did design those plugs for that engine. cant really go wrong with that.
then you have the middle-bottom feeders like champion, autolite, etc. easy way to tell is just look at the plug. all autolites just feel cheap. champions arent much better. then you pick up a NGK or a denso plug and you feel quality in the precision of the machining and the sharpness of the threads and the clarity of the NGK logo on the plug and how it just feels like a well put together product. is like using a good rachet vs a shitty rachet. you can feel the quality. i deal with spark plugs on a daily basis, i know my stuff.

Okay, it's easy to tell with spark plugs, but what about the wires, cap, and rotor? Why is Bosch garbage? Should I choose Champion over it?
I know that there are better brands like NGK, but out of these two brands, which is better?

Re: Bosch vs. Champion spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
i have no problems with bosch distributor parts, only their plugs. their caps and rotors are fine.
out of the 2 brands this is what id do
champion plugs
boshc cap and rotor
bosch wires
find a better store than canadian tire. i looked at their site and they are an outdoor store with some car shit more than anything. kinda like gander mountain that sells car stuff in 1 corner.

They're a hell of a lot cheaper than the independent car stores downtown.

do you have a real car parts store like an advance or autozone or something.
Re: Bosch vs. Champion spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor
According to Google there is an Advance. I don't know where all the car parts stores and shops are.

where, ohio or michigan? NEITHER. jenison could be considered small (smaller than grand rapids), but its aint all w/ in walking distance...about 10 min down road (by car...) is meijer. walmart is 15 min away. and we (in mi) don't have a bus system either....only in gr/holland they have bus systems....Leedeth wrote:Yeah but you live in a small town amirite?
