It wouldn't work. It wouldn't reach =(.

Mine matches the pic.

Edit: Ahha ha .... ha .... doh. I read and replied real quick as I was leaving for work. I am not sure of the trim piece. I'll have to take a look tomorrow, possible later today before league. It would be nice if I could just rotate it around.

Got bored and decided to mess with my tail lights. It seems brighter when the brake lights are pushed together.

How does this work? Is the darker bulb one that is on, but doesn't go to full illumination when the brakes are hit?

Personally I like the split ones. It looks more unique than just a square-ish block.

There are 3 bulbs.

On the driver side, starting from the left:
1. parking + brake light
2. parking light only
3. brake light only

I switched 2 and 3. So now its, from the left.

Parking + brake light
Brake light only
Parking light only.

So now it's split lights when parking (or head lights) are on. Then Bright outer block when I hit the brakes.

Hm...I like the switch then, since most of the time you won't have your brakes on.

Got myself a new camera and FlexTripod for Christmas.

So I tested it it my car by driving around the block. Here's the vid. The squeeking is my shifter. I gotta find out what part is squeeking and grease it. I thought it was the shift fork (I think that's what it's called) rubbing against the rubber inner boot thing. But that was still greased up from before. Seems to only squeek when shifting into/out of 1st and 3rd. I'll have to check the shifter pivot bushings. Oh and I think one of the vents was pointed at the camera so there's the little extra noise.

My tailllights are similar, and it annoys me. I have 3 vert red lights, and the outside two light up when I push the brake pedal, and the inside one is constantly a dim red when the lights are on, otherwise its of. I wish it would turn bright when I push the pedal, I think that would look much better.

they also look like they'd take a chunk of change out of my wallet, not something I want to do...

i couldn't really distinguish the squeaking sound in the video, but ever since i installed my cobb short shifter, i get some annoying noises when shifting into 1,3,5 and i'm pretty sure it is the shift boot bunching up. since the stick is shorter, there's extra material on the boot. i'm planning to eventually get a new shift boot that looks better (real leather and red stitching to match the steering wheel) and i'm gonna get it 1 inch shorter than stock to hopefully eliminate that. dunno if it's the same thing happening to you but thought i'd throw it out there.
