nice car and nice pics too (and the comments too lol). makes me wish i had gotten one of these. i test drove one a couple of years ago with a friend who was looking at cars and was surprised at how peppy and fun to drive it was. my friend of course ended up getting a bigass gas-guzzling slushbox suv instead

It has been a lot of fun to drive. That 2.4 Liter engine has suprisingly good pep. When car shopping, I also test drove an 2009 Altima with a 3.5 6cyl and a 6 speed. The Altima took off like a rocket and I loved the 6 speed, but went with the 2007 Element because of all of the junk you can haul in it. That and the fact that the Element was about $12000 less than they wanted for the Altima. 2009 was the last year for the 6 Speed in the Altima 4 door, but I think you can still get it in the 2 door.

Nissan was awesome for offering manual transmissions almost across the board from the Versa to the Maxima as recently as last generation. The 3.5S with 6 speed manual was a thing of beauty... and then they quickly turned their backs. The GT-R with DSG only was a slap in the face. I hope they self destruct.

they were looking for the utmost of performance with the GT-R though. no matter how you look at it, a dual clutch gearbox will always beat out the synchromesh manual on the track. it sucks but thats how it is :(

nice element. K24 powahhh

Looking at that Speedo pic reminded me one of the cheesiest but funny music videos of the 70's. (could have been 80's) Sammy Hagar's I can't drive 55, that was in response to (if anyone besides me is old enought to remember) congress enacting a national 55 MPH speed limit in either 1973 or 1974. Congress threatened to cut off federal funds to states that did not comply.

If you are bored and feel like listening to some vintage Sammy Hagar Click on the link. That 70's rocker hair style looks funny today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfNATuw1DRs

That song is probably the ONLY Hagar work I've ever really cared for.

Yeah, I remember them daze - the price of gas doubled overnight and the availability was about halved. We were so glad to just still be able to by enough gas to drive to school and work that the 55 MPH speed limit wasn't such a hard sell to the American public.

Got my boy Sammy to come up with some new lyrics for my friend Bill's birthday earlier this year:

One foot in the grave and boy I got gas, hey!
Well, I’m so constipated, I can't pass, no!
So I tried a gallon of Metamucil
I’m a little bit poorer, but I’m still sorta ill!

CHORUS:
Go write on my cake “55”
Call me a taxi ‘cause I’m too old to drive
Take my picture with some young chix
I can't be 56! Oh No! Uh!

So I signed my name for AARP, hey!
Yeah the wife said, "Bill, why you always gotta pee?
You wake me up every time you leave the bed"
Looked me in the eye, said, "Get a rectal exam!"
I said "Yes Ma'am. YES MA’AM!"

CHORUS II:
Go write on my cake “55”
Call me a taxi ‘cause I’m too old to drive
Take my picture with some young chix
I can't be 56! Oh No! Uh

I can't be 56! (four times)
Uh! (Solo)

Now I’m walkin’ slow, you know it's hard to hear.
And I can't get my pecker out of second gear.
What used to take two minutes now takes all day.
Huh - It took me 16 hours just to get laid!

CHORUS:
Go write on my cake “55”
Call me a taxi ‘cause I’m too old to drive
Take my picture with some young chix
I can't be 56! Oh No! Uh

No, no, no, I can't be...(I can't be 56!)
I can't be... (I can't be 56!)
I can't be 56!
