Graham's second 3G Mitsubishi Eclipse - a Chrysler Sebring?

Post by ihartmacz »

This car is nothing but win...

Despite being automatic, it has power... much more power than the Mustang.

It doesn't have all the off-the-line gusto of the Mustang, but all hell starts breaking loose at around 2,700RPM. Before I start driving the car I need to get some new rotors and pads on the front, other than that... she's quiet and powerful.

Oh yeah... I got a V6 this time. 6G72 always wins!

This car isn't even in the same class, at least not drivetrain wise. Did Chrysler ever make these cars with a stick and a V6?

It's the same engine and transaxle available in the 2000+ Mitsubishi Eclipse. I think the Sebring was available with a 5-speed but it was rare.

I must find a Sebring. It sounds uber odd but horrible to drive. I can't wait til it breaks down!

Sebrings seem to be at the ass end of most car jokes.

This car is FAR from win. My mom has one and it's a big, lazy, underpowered american sedan. It's slow and it's sloppy. It's not even that comfortable to drive.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

Oddly, I had my first accident in a 2004 Sebring damn thing can't corner for shit.

And yes, it was the V6 one with more HP than a mustang of the same year, it's still a shit car. Moderately comfy place to sit, but a shit car all around.

I almost crashed my mom in law's Sebring, mind you I was going 100mph in a 60 zone going around a curve.

I've never seen a Sebring interior like that though. Doesn't look bad, but the car is far from win. Tsk... Go join automaticshift.com

Haha as I said, it was my mom in law's, I get to drive a lot of my family and my wife's family cars.

About 200km before the near crash incident in the Sebring, I had to stop quickly to turn right into a gas station, I put my left foot into the "clutch pedal" and started freaking out when I lunged forward from the car stopping so hard thinking that I had broken something. Good thing I didn't decide to move that shifter or else something would've been really broken. lol.
