Review: Standardshift.com

Post by eggwich delfiero »

Standardshift.com is this website on "the internet" I thought I would review for you all. Actually, I'm going to turn it into a fancy awards ceremony to make my opinions all the more important sounding!

Welcome to "The Eggwich Awards," in which everyone's (meaning eggwich) favorite member (meaning eggwich) rates the stuff of Standardshift. Not on a rating scale per se like other reviews, rather against each other. There can be only one winner (Highlander.)

Let's get it on!

1. Favorite avatar thingy: Dancing Mr. T by Alfaspeed. I said that before in some thread, thus creating the basis of "The Eggies."

2. Favorite signature thinger: "I liek chocolate milk Batman" by noob 5,000,000. I swear that's what he's really saying in that pic, if drawings could talk. So funny. I will also admit I thought noob's avatar ("fuuuuu" guy) meant he was a mean and angry guy until I learned about this thing called the internet and that it contains popular jokes called memes.
(LHOswald gets honorable mention for his gear graphic in his sig. I love that.)

3. Favorite car: (Tie) Tups' 82 Ford Escort and MadFin's Ford Fiesta. What can I say, I bleed blue oval blue. If someone here had a Lada Niva that would win, though.

4. Favorite person to internet fight with: Watkins. He will say "this is wrong in a general way" and I will say "gah!" and then he says "ah yes I see you are also incorrect" then I get all mad and look like a dumbass. It's fun. When he questioned the greatness of the old Mustang 5.0 motor I crapped myself in righteous indignation. Plus, he's got raper beard.

5. Favorite photo posted: Purple Ford Fiesta with PISS written on it. I laughed thinking about it today at work.

6. Favorite thread: Besides the DC/HT threads that actually taught me stuff, (I learned from other threads too, no doubt, don't think I haven't) I'm going with the thread where Roman and some other dudes talked about buying a first motorcycle. It was honest and informative. I don't even care about motorcycles and i read the whole thing.
("Return of the thread VI" gets an honorable mention for having 8,000 pages.) ("What are you listening to?" also gets honorable mention for introducing me to some good new music.)

7. Favorite smilie:  Generic? Maybe. But I use it all the time, and all too often it connotes the tone I'm trying to get across better than the other smilies.

Thanks for playing. Didn't win an inaugural Eggie? Me neither! Fear not, there will be more, and you are beautiful, no matter what they say, eggs won't bring you down...

Thanks again.
Although you forgot the "5." I also go by: Chris, Alfa, or alfachild (in the IRC chat). :P
If someone here had a Lada Niva that would win, though.
I'll be back in a few...

Fix'd.
Never question the authority of the Police Interceptor 4.6.
Plus, he's got raper beard.

Woah, I didn't realize that noob5,000,000,000 won two Eggies. Impressive. And honestly, I really like the kissing the turbo smiley too, not gonna lie.

Alfa74, I'm going to call you Alfa or Chris from now on. It's hard to refer to people by their username if their username is just the name of a car; just feels weird. So 94corolla5speed, I'm just calling you cosmin from now on, much easier.

And really, the GTO owners (Jessip, Ahtoxa, i think that's it?) all deserve an Eggie just for owning a GTO. Sweeeet cars.

Yeah but Watkins is still my name. Last name, but name none the less.

As for GTO owners, call AHTOXA by Tonebone. He likes it. Hes also the resident Communist and butt secks fanatic
