McDonald's Angus Deluxe

Post by ihartmacz »

Performance: 10
Handling: 8
Practicality: 2
Reliability: 5
Cost to own: 0
Feasibility of Sexual Encounters: 0

Performance: This burger tastes good! For someone who doesn't like McDonald's a lot, this is about the only reason I'll there (and the Egg McMuffin).

Handling: There's a lot of veggies on it, you've got to hold it pretty tight. It isn't so large that it won't fit in your mouth.

Practicality: It makes for a $6 lunch, so not very practical unless you have a coupon. Today mine was $3.99 since I had a coupon for free fries and coke if I just got the sandwich.

Reliability: McDonald's reliability is not very good. Today I asked for the sandwich with out cheese and they gave it to me anyway. PLUS they gave me a diet-coke. If you know me at all; I say "f**k diet-coke". I don't feel the need to complain since I don't have a health concern about dairy (if you can call McDonald's cheese dairy) and I did drink the diet-coke. I've worked in customer care for so long that I can understand how crappy it can be to work at fast food - my biggest concern is that my food is sanitary and I got all I ordered.

Cost to own: Gets 24mpg in town and will get 31mpg highway. errr... I mean... The meal is around $6.00 and the sandwich it self is $3.99. These prices are local, I think they can very depending where you live.

Feasibility of Sexual encounters: Don't even count on it! I can't think of anyway that eating anything at McDonald's is sexy. Most times I'd rather chew electrical tape than eat anything at McDonald's, much less have sex with it!

They do make it look edible on the commercials, which is more than I can say for anything else they've ever sold. I don't think I'll break my no McDonald's rule for it, though.

Grimy roadside taco trucks, ok. Hole-in-the-wall eatery, fine. Even Burger King, I'll eat...McDonald's is where I draw the line.

McD's Angus burger is no different from the meat in their regular patty... it just has special "Angus sauce". The paste they use to make the hamburger, 1/4 pounder, and Angus patties is one and the same.

You should try Costco's 1/2 pound Angus burger some time. They're not bad.

mcdonalds have 3 different types of burgers. 1\10 pound burgers for normal cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, 1\4 pound burger for the quarter pounder, and the 1\3 pound burger for the angus

In related news, I had the Angry Whopper a Burger King today. The kid didn't know what was on it and mumbled something about a zestier version of some sort of sauce but didn't think there was mayo. There was mayo.

By the time I got it into a condition where I was willing to eat it, it was just an oversized Rodeo Cheeseburger. I ate it, was still hungry, and bought a Rodeo burger.

i used to work at burger king. on an angry whopper there is bottom bun, patty, angry whopper sauce (just a less than spicy tabasco sauce) jalapenos, then angry onions (which are spicy deep fried onion bits). then on the top bun is mayo, lettuce and 2 tomatos. it is VERY spicy when they cram alot of jalapenos and angry onions on there.

Oh, those were jalapenos? I took them off thinking they were pickles.

I'm tired of the difficulty trying to get what I want. They can't list what's on the burgers and they can't keep a stable menu - I liked the BK Angus burger, though I had to order it special, and the Loaded Steakhouse Burger was great without special instructions...but neither are available anymore. I'm going to protest by not buying any high-margin premium stuff. Instead I'll just buy a few Rodeo burgers, which I know will be what I want.
