Re: 1994 Isuzu Rodeo
I was planning to drive the GMC for the winter. However, one of the bits of maintenance that I have entirely failed to keep up has apparently caught up with me. At 187,000 miles I'm not sure I've ever changed the coolant. Maybe I had it done at 100,000 (probably 4 years ago), not sure. Now it seems that I've had a head gasket failure. I'm not sure yet.
I may post a thread where I eat crow about my defense of American vehicles, but if it's the head gasket then it's probably a result of acidic coolant that I should have changed 3 years ago (or 3 and 5 years ago).
