Nice. The ninja star wheels of death from the new GTI's are growing on me. If I ever decided to get new rims for my dub, I'd get some black rims or something.

Sorry man, but I'm gonna be holding on to these for a while. I got a long list of mods for my car and rims are at the very bottom right next to rubber testicles to hang off the towing hook. If you do decide to get rims like those or upgrade your rims to ones the same size as mine you will definitely need to change your wheels to a bigger size. Mine are 215/45/17 and your car has 16's, so my rims wouldn't fit on your tires.

I've heard lots of good things but what about the way that power utterly dies after 5500rpm (way before redline) because of the way that they limited max boost ?

Thats because thats where you make peak horsepower why would you want to go too redline,its a low end power car not a honda.
