I can thank my little brother for keeping it clean. I get a free carwash out of him every week as long as my mom pays him. Pretty good deal. No need to look away from my work and I get a clean car.vedran wrote:looks amazing. gj keeping it so clean

Dude, that is quite the car!
I don't s'pose you'd consider letting me tool around in it for a few if you should make it to one of the big meet/meats?

What he said.paul34 wrote:A tripod or other ground-mounted surface is a must when shooting without flash in dark conditions. Also, I use the self-timer in addition, since my camera can't accept a remote trigger and i don't want to introduce the additional, possible vibration of actually pressing the flash. A 2 second timer and a solid surface with flash turned off = great low light shots.
BTW, paul, if your camera is a Canon or a few models of other brands, you might be able to use chdk, which is an open-source software that the camera can run instead of its firmware; one of the features is easy use of a USB joystick as a remote trigger.
I used mini-tripods from the dollar store. They're not great and I've broken one accidentally, but I can keep one in the camera case, one in each car, one in the house...and my pictures come out great.1974Alfa5spd wrote:Ya, I don't have the funds for a tripod right now (Christmas). And I want to get the remote trigger as well. Using the ground and neighbors cars as steady surfaces ftw.
Before I found those, I just used whatever surface I could. Tripod or surface, I use the 2 second timer to get steady shots because I'm too lazy to get and hook up a USB joystick, even though I already installed chdk.
In the last week I've lost my camera. I don't know where it is.

IT IS TIME FOR AN UPDATE!
I just finished scanning in some old 35mm photos from '02-'03.
This is from it's trip to San Fran for bodywork and paint.
Prepare to have your mind blown.

Yessir, that's 2002. Was in 2nd grade.paul34 wrote:whoa wait, does that say 2002? what the hell, just from the appearance for some reason I assumed it was from like 81, but it can't be, alfa is a youngin. I was in sophomore year in HS I believe.
Hard to believe '02 was eight years ago.
35mm photos give off the appearance of "fscking old" now.

Re: Some pics of the Alfa (DSL warning)
I was trying to figure out how someone who appears to be 8-10 years old in those pictures could possibly be old enough to drive by now....I didn't do the math when I read "photos from '02-'03", I guess.
