took a call for a 1957 alfa romeo giulietta today.

he just said it was a 57 alfa romeo, so when i went to confirm if it was a 1900, 1900c, or giulietta, he thought i was asking the year (?!) and repeated slowly "no its a 1957". i know. thanks. first alfa romeo tho! gonna tell the alfa person from this place (who doesn't come here afaik) when i get home. i have her on tumblr.

You know the name means "Two Horsepower", right?

I've driven one...the head of engineering bought one to "open our eyes". He was French, from Renault and then American Motors, and he refered to it as the "Deux Chevaux" - with a tear in his eye. I would imagine he celebrated many "Firsts" in a 2CV.

Thank DOG that's "Taxable Horsepower" and not "SAE Brake Horsepower"

It had a shift pattern where you swiveled the shift lever clockwise and then pushed forward to shift from 3rd to 4th. When you see what they were doing in the transmixer, it made sense.

There was a "reinforced pass-through" hole through the radiator where the rod from the jack could be inserted and used to hand-crank the engine.

so i looked this up on google cuz i didn't know the years it was made (1948-1990). then typed 1990 cit into my computer system and "no matching records found, please refine your search"

I guess citroen is not in the system. i even googled for the Citroën. with the dots. and put it in there. nope.

I saw a Ford Mondeo with a manufacturer license plate today. It appeared to be the hatchback version.

Me likey. I don't understand why that style isn't more prevalent for the hatch averse. It's so much more useful than the sedan. I liked the Fusion that my friend had.

I saw a Lamborghini Huracan today. Damn, that's a good looking car, even when you only see it for a couple seconds as it goes by you on the other side of the road.

It was a metallic gray color, like this:
