Re: Just a couple of cars I saw lately
I hate politics. Especially die hard folks. They annoy me. Some people are truly enraged he was elected. Really? Get a life.
There's a guy cruising around in one of those.

Yuck. Politics.
He gets blamed for disasters during his reign the same way that Bush got blamed for Katrina. The only difference is that he's off-limits for people who want to claim racism.
Actually, he promised "change", not "I'll try to cause some change". He promised results that most politicians never try to promise because they know it's not possible.LHOswald wrote:he promised he would do his best, and he is.

+1. This is hilarious and you are awesome. Plus, we all want to hoon the Escort.watkins wrote:I want to share a round of drinks with you. Around here the majority thinks that Obama is the best thing that has happened to the US for a long time, but then again we are all liberal communist gay muslim terrorist supporters who know nothing about anything, so it's pretty understandable.

Ah. Gotcha.IMBoring25 wrote:The power plant efficiency I quoted was average for power plants in the US, not coal plants in the US.
But you did compare the combined efficiencies of the motor in the Tesla and the losses in the power plant against the efficiency of the internal combustion engine by itself as if the gas spontaneously materialized in its own tank.IMBoring25 wrote:And I didn't cite the well-to-wheel efficiency for the Tesla unless the coal and natural gas spontaneously materialize at the power plant.
Yep. Tons of 'em on both sides and I'll gladly agree to leave those aloneIMBoring25 wrote:The refining is a legitimate observation, but we could talk about ancillary efficiencies in the power plant system as well.
Of course, we've been talking about the efficiencies in terms of resources consumed; there's a whole other side of this argument about the respective economic efficiencies of each... but that's equally convoluted.

Another addition to the list of rare JDM models I've spotted in Finland: Toyota Aristo Twin Turbo. It sounded... nice.

Have you been to Albany? . That's pretty much ALL I've been seeing lately. That and a red FD. Looked exactly like this:
It was for sale. Went back up the block an hour later to get a better look, but it was moved

Saw a yellow NSX yesterday and a bright red Ferrari 360 today.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

I didn't like Ford in previous years but I have to admit they've stepped up their game.LHOswald wrote:i was gonna ask you in that other thread if that GT500 was stick or not. i don't like ford but im sure that thing would be sick to drive. im assuming they splurged on the GT500 and it actually has IRS?
And no it's not IRS. According to this month's Car and Driver it has a live rear axle.

You'll be happy to know that all GT500's, KR's, and Super Snakes are all 6MTLHOswald wrote:i was gonna ask you in that other thread if that GT500 was stick or not. i don't like ford but im sure that thing would be sick to drive. im assuming they splurged on the GT500 and it actually has IRS?

Re: Just a couple of cars I saw lately
Ah that's good. For some reason I thought they could be had with an auto. Maybe that's just the Shelby GT-H that they made for Hertz rent-a-car so that people can have the Shelby experience without the full experience of rowing through supercharged V8 power.94Corolla5Speed wrote:You'll be happy to know that all GT500's, KR's, and Super Snakes are all 6MT

Re: Just a couple of cars I saw lately
indeed sir i am. ford just went up a notch in my book. although it wasn't that high up there to begin with...i guess working on cars could always be worse than a ford though...look at volkswagen...94Corolla5Speed wrote:You'll be happy to know that all GT500's, KR's, and Super Snakes are all 6MTLHOswald wrote:i was gonna ask you in that other thread if that GT500 was stick or not. i don't like ford but im sure that thing would be sick to drive. im assuming they splurged on the GT500 and it actually has IRS?
