Check out the the FAQ here. There are great tips here about starting, 1-2 shift, downshifting and so on.

Don't jump on the technique bandwagon too fast. Yes, rev-matching is the correct way to do it. However, I wasn't able to do that until at least four months of driving.

post in our local AA thread oops i mean our welcome thread or read through it, it has some great advice, searching the forums for advice on driving stick is also a good idea.

any ways i sold 2 tercels that were stick the first for 1800 and the second for 1200 now i have a old 98 ford contour slush lying around in my garage, still trying to hammer out a deal for an evox
