Do him a favor and rip those off lol.. make it look like it was stolen ... there's an old saying, "Friends (family in this case) don't let friends (family) drive rice"Johnf514 wrote:Howdy, Anthony! My brother has a blue '99 ZX2 (4AT). All sorts of ricey mods (subs, stereo, ground effects, those little Christmas tree lights in the windshield washer domes, etc.). I suspect yours is a bit more classy.

I already attempted to destroy his subs. I wired them like single voice coils when in fact they were dual. They smoked for a good few weeks, then blew. Took out several fuses, a battery, and an alternator with them.
We thought it was just the immense power. He's running almost 2000 watts on that thing, with a cap. It's freakin' stupidly bassy.
As for the lights, well, that's his perogative. I tried to tell him they look as retarded as a special ed bus, but he wouldn't listen. Something about being 17 . . .
No offense to the 17-year old standard shifters on this site. At least ya'll can drive stick.

aw whats goin down everyone
i just wanted so let everyone know a little about my adventure
i always wanted a manual transmission car and was given a brand new 4 door saturn auto when i was 16 cause my parents didnt want me to think i was a race car driver or whatever
well last friday (may 26th) i went out and bought myself my long awaited 2006 Scion tC Manual and before this i never once drove a manual. ive read tons of stuff online regarding it so i though i would be ready... i signed the papers, got in the car, was ready to take off brand new everyones watching me and BAM! stalled out instantly. it was my first attempt and rather embarissing, i started the car back up and sorta jerked a little but started to move forward and actually pulled out on the street and drove the thing to work (i bought it on my way to work) it was a pretty jerky ride and i avoided stopping in fear that id stall again. so i took the freeway. later that night i went out and drove in my development at 2am until i figured it out and now i guess im ok with driving it! (i guess its a miracle i didnt destroy the thing on my way home! hope i didnt do too much damage on that first run!)
