Hey there! How awesome to find a forum dedicated to manual cars. I'm (as the title says) a Canadian, from Toronto. I drive a Subaru Impreza, no not WRX or STi, I can't afford it
Hope to see you around

Welcome to the forum! One of these days I should make the 6 hour drive to Canada, I'm weak with my geography, but I think I'm due south of Manitoba. There are enough Canadians on the forum to make it worth it.

Manitoba is not that interesting. Still might be worth the trip though.tankinbeans wrote:Welcome to the forum! One of these days I should make the 6 hour drive to Canada, I'm weak with my geography, but I think I'm due south of Manitoba. There are enough Canadians on the forum to make it worth it.
OP, I'm also a Canadian Impreza owner.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

I more mentioned it so that I couldn't be accused of thinking all Canadians are the same.4onthefloor wrote:Manitoba is not that interesting. Yeah, it's probably easier and cheaper than designing a new knob (giggity) for every model every few years. It's the same shifter from the legacy, forester, impreza, wrx, etc.Krimsalt wrote:London, that's pretty close, I was just by there.4onthefloor wrote:

Re: New member from Canada, eh!
my old 02 impreza got the shaft with the cheap rubber knob - had to replace it with the walmart special leather knob. the rubber knob was sticky as watkin's mom when i was trying to sell the car, and the stickyness wouldn't wash off.

Re: New member from Canada, eh!
Since we're talking about knobs, I prefer my knob over my dad's. It looks better.4onthefloor wrote:Yeah, it's probably easier and cheaper than designing a new knob (giggity) for every model every few years. Perhaps watkins' mom used the car before you. Not drove it anywhere, just used the knob.potownrob wrote:my old 02 impreza got the shaft with the cheap rubber knob - had to replace it with the walmart special leather knob. the rubber knob was sticky as watkin's mom when i was trying to sell the car, and the stickyness wouldn't wash off.
