Motorola is radio. Sound travels at ~700 MPH.

I don't follow. Sound still travels to the officer's ears at ~700 MPH, regardless of how fast the radio can transmit sound.

Okay...but sound only has to travel about 6 feet. The miles are covered at the speed of radio, which is also the speed of light.
