Newbie in Connecticut.

Post by ben_0614 »

Hey guys, I recently bought my first car, a black 2002 Subaru Forester S, 5MT, about three weeks ago. I learned stick about a year or two ago, on a VW Cabrio, and tried driving a Mazda B2000 with no power steering, that was fun.
Anyways, I've been on this site for a few years now, I forget, but now I can have another site to waste my time in school on.

Here's some pics of the car:

Oh yeah, I'm a big Subaru fan. I was having a hell of a time looking for a standard, decent condition Subaru. They sell really quickly. I wanted a turbo Subie, but saw that the insurance for them were insane for 17 year olds. I'm happy with the Fozzie right now though, it gets decent gas milage, it's AWD, and later on, I can do an EJ257 swap if I have the money to.

Cue wegnome music

Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
entering the Gnome Valley Kingdom
with tangerine trees, and marmalade porkchops.
Someone calls you, you answer with haste,
a man with a clutch in his hand.
Celefane shift boots of yellow and green, towering over your head.
Look for the man with the clutch in his hand and hes gone.
Noob in the land of Gnomes.
Noob in the land of Gnomes.
Noob in the land of Gnomes.
Follow him down to the thread by a fountain.
Where a bunch of men talk about marshmellow pie.
Everyone smiles a you drift around the corner.
Then they all get high.
Clutch holding men appear on the shore, waiting to take you away.
Noob in the land of Gnomes. Noob in the land of Gnomes. Noob in the land of Gnomes.
Picture yourself in a forum of transmissions.
With plastercine cars, and lookingglass Gnomes.
Look to the left and who do you see?
The man with a clutch in his hand.

Welcome! I am the resident Viggen driver.

My first car was a Subaru. When I need a sensible family car in a few years, It will be some sort of turbo Subie. No baby is puking in the Viggen

Thanks for the welcome! There's quite a few viggens on this site. There was one for sale locally when I was shopping around, but I really didn't want a fwd car.

There are only two, actually... it's just that Watkins posts so much it seems like there must be several of him. Heh, though two Viggens might be considered quite a lot outside of a Saab forum :P

All that aside, welcome welcome!!!! That car looks especially clean; nice choice 8)

How many doubles do we have on SS?

2 x GTO
2 x Viggen
2 x Fiero*
2 x RX-7*
2 x Maxima
Used to have 3 x Rabbit. Now it's down to 1

* - Each double model is owned by the same person

Yep, '04 STi. I'm in Meriden, right where 691, 91, 15 and 84 meet, in the center of CT.
