If you can get behind the steering wheel without having to do a back-flip, then you've got a synchronized transmixer. (Without functioning synchronizers, you would need to double-clutch to shift from one gear to another while rolling down the road). I would think that in your Fraud that for sure Reverse and maybe 1st gear are not synchronized. What do you have, a 3-speed or a 4-speed? Do you have a "granny-gear" 1st gear? It is a four speed. I was wondering about first gear in my truck, which is very short. The truck would rather just start off in second gear it seems, and I'm unsure if this is common in older trucks or what...

Also, if you look at the pics you can see that it has a long shift lever coming out of the top of the trans. This is necessary to place the shift knob where the driver can reach it and with bends to avoid hitting the seat or instrument panel. Places a lot of leverage on the select finger inside the tranny. UPS in this area cut the lever shorter to avoid drivers snapping off the select finger, but that meant that drivers had to bend toward the lever for many or mosts shifts. Not an elegant solution.

Haha, thanks! I'm definitely some sort of mentally ill to be jumping in like that, but there you go. I will try it out on a trip to Roswell this coming week I believe, which should give me an idea of how it'll do long distance.Another wow. It's really, really good to know that 1st and Reverse are most likely not synchronized, and it makes a lot of sense with how my car's been reacting, especially reverse, when shifting. I suppose I should start practicing my double clutch skills? (Although I don't know how it'd affect reverse, since I usually would only reverse in a 3 point turn situation usually..)
The longest I've stayed up would probably be around 54 hours, and by hour 40 I was hallucinating that the core of an apple I ate was moving on its own.
