Newbie here.

Post by SirLord »

Greetings Standard Shifters!
I recently acquired a new 09 Honda Civic Si and am barely competent at driving it! So, here I am looking for how-to's and tips. This looks to be a good resource--Thanks in advance!

The Stick (And a Flip-Flop wearing foot--Part of the reason I got this car is because of the way the gas pedal is arranged. It's great for flip flops and that's pretty much all I wear.)

With the economy like it is, we've had to enact a policy of charging for factual answers to serious questions, but endless debate of what constitutes clutch or synchro abuse is still free.

Welcome. I am the resident divine/perforated bovine.

We are also capable of arguing about silly worthless issues besides clutch/synchro wear.

just don't let your racing inclined friends tell you that revving it up and slowly letting out the clutch is the right way to drive! we will find you, and kill you. we've done it before, and we'll do it again. nice car though, what motor is in that Si?
