Hai all

Post by Danger_Ranger »

Hey just came across this site, as I picked up my first stick (97 Mazda B2300, aka Ford Ranger) just under a year ago, but have always been curious about other manual cars and other peoples' driving style. I never thought of looking up a whole forum dedicated to manual transmission cars but its a great idea now that I found it.

That is all :D

Welcome to the forum. Just in time, too. We're just about to the point of having to go from telling how to shift an Amish transmission to telling folks what it was like, back in ought-nine, when you could still find vehicles that required manual shifting and before cellphone implants were commonplace.

No doubt, darn summer classes :x Also, exterior pics are up: http://cid-b94e82120f7e5bc4.skydrive.li ... spx/Photos You might have to click it a time or two to get the full res though. Or if you're lazy like me, here's the slideshow directly http://cid-b94e82120f7e5bc4.skydrive.li ... .JPG?ref=2

Ah good point, I completely forgot to get any interior pics, I'll do that tomorrow actually. Actually its hard for me to guage the clutch only because I've never driven another stick before. It does seem fairly heavy once it reaches the friction point though. The only thing that I would theoretically change is maybe add a little low end torque to the engine or a 6 speed with a lower 1st gear, only because getting going from a stop is a pretty delicate process and involves some rpms. But otherwise I love my truck and the 25 mpg it gives me :D

Don't get me wrong, gotta love the little Mazda Mazda's too
