Welcome. Is your username an allusion to a Seinfeld episode?

Welcome to SS, I am the resident Porkchop.
Bemvindo a SS, eu sou o residente Porkchop.
What is your price range? First to mind is a civic, accord, corolla etc.
But since you want to become a mechanic. You might want to look at mk1 or 2 rabbits/gti's, 240-300zx, RX maybe

Get something RWD.
And you get a hunting rifle at 14? WHAT. Seriously?

It's not that uncommon, especially in the south.Leedeth wrote:And you get a hunting rifle at 14? WHAT. Seriously?
Anyway, welcome! For a first car just get something with 4 cylinders (i.e. a car with good gas mileage) that is cheap and reliable. Unless you're wealthy and don't have to worry about it, you'll be thankful your car is cheap to maintain and drive during your welfare years (16-21ish). A good example of a car like this would be a Civic or a Corolla or something similar.

If you want to learn about cars, a good first car is an Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse, they're fun to drive when they work and relatively easy to work on when they don't. Keep that thing for 12 months and you'll have learned to dismantle and reassemble any car in your sleep. Welcome to SS!

Not in a store, but I believe gun shows and private sellers are exempt.paul34 wrote:Can you buy a handgun at 19 in Ohio? In Florida you have to be 21, unless someone like your dad buys it for you. Long guns are ok at 18 and up.
Either way, I'm going to own one. God help the idiot who ever tries to break into this house after that... Seriously.
I will hold their ass 'til the cops get here... Or if they intend to do some shit, I'll just pepper 'em with the shotgun.

Understand, I'm not playing lawyer here, nor am I condoning using a firearm or other deadly force against another person. I'm just pointing out the applicable laws that may be involved, although there's certainly a lot more that apply.

Pretty strong. I wouldn't go shooting everyone who walks up to the car asking for change, but if you or another occupant of the car or house truly in danger fire away.[...] to create a rebuttable presumption that a person acted in self defense or defense of another when using defensive force that is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm to another if the person against whom the defensive force is used is in the process of entering or has entered, unlawfully and without privilege to do so, the residence or vehicle occupied by the person using the defensive force [...]
Sec. 2901.09. (A) As used in this section, "residence" and "vehicle" have the same meanings as in section 2901.05 of the Revised Code.
(B) For purposes of any section of the Revised Code that sets forth a criminal offense, a person who lawfully is in that person's residence has no duty to retreat before using force in self-defense, defense of another, or defense of that person's residence, and a person who lawfully is an occupant of that person's vehicle or who lawfully is an occupant in a vehicle owned by an immediate family member of the person has no duty to retreat before using force in self-defense or defense of another.
