New member coming out of the woodwork
Hi everyone,
I bought my first stick shift car about 5 months ago, and i've been lurking on this site for a little while. It has been very useful in helping me become better at driving stick - especially since I never got any real instruction. I learned how to make my shifts smooth (esp.1-2) and how to rev-match downshifts properly. Being able to do the 3-2 rev-matched downshift has actually made me enjoy arriving at work in the morning And other things, like not worrying about my clutch all the time...
Anyway, thanks for having such a great site!
I drive an 08 VW Rabbit. I'll try to get a pic of my ride up sometime...

Zdorovo AHTOXA!
I've been meaning to post some pics up for a while now, but been busy with work and the like.
This is from when the rabbit was brand new:
I am down in the DC area. But I go up to New York/New Jersey/PA quite often, and also to Michigan.

Sweet wheel color/ body color combo. That rabbit doesn't nibble: it bites

Re: New member coming out of the woodwork
Hehe, thanks guys. When I got it I didn't know the wheels were going to be that color (dealer didn't tell me)... I really like the anthracite on black look, and very few people have those wheels. In fact I haven't seen any Rabbits or GTIs with these. Now I just need to get tint
Here are two more pics from a mid-October trip to the Alma mater:

Nice Rabbit. I wanted those wheels when I was getting mine and was trying to negotiate for 'me but didn't work. They were quite expensive but now I regret not getting them. Looks awesome.
