but seriously, why does US think formula1 dipped out on us. we dont have a track that suits the F1 racing style. for one, if its not a Herman Tilke track, F1 doesnt even concider it (like how they are leaving silverstone for donigton in 2010). most of the tracks in US have drastic elevation changes, F1 tracks are mostly flat with some exceptions. most tracks in US are setup for GT cars and are not varied and twisty enough for the F1 cars to show off thier slot car cornering. and most tracks in US are setup for drivers not spectators. im sure you could make road america spectator friendly if you cut down all the trees in the infield and put up a shit ton of grandstands, but its still in the middle of nowhere and its a great track but it would be far too boring for F1 cars. theres like 7 turns on the whole track.
F1 has a very good chance of returning to the US in 2010. Currently they are looking at 3 locations, but won't say which ones. For sure one is Indy, and Vegas being the other, but I can't come up with a good guess for the 3rd one. My wishful thinking wants it to be Laguna Seca though.

BTW here's the ending to the Belgian GP. Dramatic stuff. With 2 laps to go the rain started pouring down, as the #1 and #2 place cars were dueling it out (silver and red cars). The eventual winner was given a 25 sec. penalty which dropped to 3rd. Also the drop in revs when the cars go into the complex after the hairpin isn't because the drivers are lifting. That corner (Eau Rogue) is flat out. The revs drop due to the compression the cars are put under there.

yea spa is amazing, when they flew over rouge in a roflcopter you could see how it was downhill and then how steep uphill it is. cant really see it thru the in car cameras, gotta see it from the air.

kimi f**k ran lewis off the track in the bus stop it was either crash and take out both cars or cut the corner, lewis had the inside line thru the last turn and kimi dove down on him, obviously F1 is too blind to see that. then he ended up crashing so its not like it mattered anyway. waffen F1 fail. then kimi went by and vaginad again on the hairpin and got outbraked by lewis

fail. amazing race tho
